Lake and Pond Aeration:
Windmill Aeration
- No electricity needed
The windmill is a direct drive system without gears and few
moving parts. It is efficient and easy to maintain. Twelve
galvanized steel blades catch the wind turning the crankshaft
which is attached to the diaphragm. This acts like a piston,
forcing air out on the downstroke, 1.2 cubic feet a minute and
30 P.S.I. of air is produced as a result.
The windmill package consists of a 12'
tower and a 5 ' diameter turbine with 12 blades and 100' of 3/8"
weighted tubing and two pond diffusers. All parts are galvanized
for years of service. The only service ever required is a yearly
greasing of one fitting and a diaphragm replacement as needed.
The windmill can be located hundreds of feet from the pond if
necessary to catch the wind. The windmill can also operate to a
depth of 50 feet if necessary.:

LMI WINDMILL FREEZE CONTROL
By continuing to aerate your pond during the winter months you will ensure that your pond doesn’t freeze over. Superior freeze control is a self-regulating system that protects against line freeze and blockage by monitoring line pressure at all times. When ice is detected in the line, the spring loaded valve at the bottom of the freeze control tank opens releasing a small amount of ethanol alcohol into the line, as needed allowing the line to clear. Once the line clears the pressure is released causing the valve to close again and operation resumes.
Our freeze control can also be used to locate leaks in the air line. If the air pressure drops below the normal operating range, the check valve at the end of the air line closes preventing any aeration process to continue. Making note of the initial pressure gauge reading when you first begin the aeration process will help you quickly and easily check up on the operating effectiveness of your Windmill.
Maintaining and using a Freeze Control system is made easy. Simply fill up the white tank with a few gallons of any alcohol based product, PREFERABLY ETHANOL ALCOHOL and attach the container at the 4 ft level of one of the tower’s legs so you can still monitor the gauge and fill the alcohol tank.
Price $99.95.
